Fingerboard

Art and Skate is at the center of Street Culture, which is at the center of our Future Basics' work.  Projects are both big and small so we thought doing both a skateboard and a fingerboard would be a fun way to show that. 

The skate-able art board is a nod to the famous statue Venus De Milo, which can be found at The Louvre in Paris. The statue was found in Greece and bought by Parisians to gift to King Louis XVIII, who then gifted it to the Museum. The greeks have been trying to get it back because of how rare greek sculptures are. It is considered one of the most important pieces at The Louvre.
